Growing up in Myanmar, I place a special value on peace, because our poor country has hardly seen it in decades of ethnic violence. Myanmar became a news story again in August, when reporters documented tens of thousands of Rohingya (Muslim ethnic group) fleeing to Bangladesh amid violent clashes. Where does religion fit into all of this? How will Myanmar look forward to a peaceful future? I offer more questions than answers about the road ahead.
