As an advocate of women's empowerment in the multi-religious, multi-ethnic country of Sierra Leone, I'm pleased to lead this unit. I believe every woman counts, and every woman has a story to tell. I look forward to digging into the history of head-covering with you, the religious aspects, the social, fashion and political aspects, and I encourage you to keep an open mind!
I am a popular radio personality in Sierra Leone, broadcasting for women's empowerment on Radio Mount Aureol "Women on the Move", Independent Radio Network "Women's Platform", Sky Radio "Women's Court" and "Youth Now on Gender Equality". I have also worked as an emergency operator for the Ebola Emergency Operations Center, and as community and educational program officer at Schooling for Life Foundation and World Heath Organization in Freetown.
Where women are dignified with human rights, society can be healthy and whole.
